The Transfer Services/Articulation and University Relations Office is here to help you transfer course credit from our colleges.

Transfer From DCCCD

If you want to transfer from DCCCD to a four-year college or university, the key to success — and minimizing stress — is planning ahead. We have plenty of information to help you with the planning process.

  • The Transfer101 Web site offers a wealth of information to walk you through the process of transferring from a Texas community college to a university, step by step.
  • Steps to a Successful Transfer — Follow these steps to stay on track and achieve your transfer goals.
  • Transfer Timeline — If possible, you should begin planning your transfer about one year before you intend to start attending classes at a four-year college or university. This basic timeline lists the steps you will need to take at each stage in the process.
  • Virtual Transfer Fair — Visit universities without leaving your computer! See ourstremaing video iconwelcome video to learn more about this tool.
  • University Transfer Guides — If you already know which university you want to attend and which major you want to study, use these guides to make sure your DCCCD courses transfer into your major.
  • Articulation (Transfer) Agreements — These contracts establish the terms and conditions of transfer from DCCCD to various universities. Familiarizing yourself with the articulation agreement between DCCCD and your university of choice can help you ensure a smooth transfer.
  • University Pre-admission — Many universities offer pre-admission to DCCCD graduates, which may lock your tuition rate, allow you to use university services and much more.
  • Transfer Resources — Here you’ll find links to tips on the transfer process, research tools that can help you find information about four-year colleges and universities and more.
Transfer to DCCCD

Are you home for the summer and want to pick up a few credit hours that will transfer back to your home college? Maybe you tried a big university and decided it wasn’t right for you?

You can transfer to DCCCD from any institution to get the most out of your college experience.

Please note that you must request official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have previously attended before you can enroll at DCCCD, even if you just want to take one class here. Having your transcripts helps us advise you about the DCCCD classes you qualify to take and the classes that will best help you meet your goals. Learn more about how to enroll.
