Wendy Camarena, 2007 LeCroy Scholar

Wendy Camarena hopes to build a career in broadcast journalism, beginning with her communications courses at Brookhaven College. She wants to transfer to the University of Texas at Austin or Southern Methodist University to earn her bachelor’s degree. An outgoing and outspoken person, Camarena works as a conference center coordinator and maintains a 3.7 GPA. The LeCroy Scholars Program recognizes student for outstanding leadership and scholarship with up to $3,200 in scholarships.

Our mission is to assist you in learning the accounting knowledge and skill to achieve your personal, educational and career goals, whether you are:

  • starting your career in an entry-level position such as a cashier, accounts receivable clerk, accounts payable clerk, payroll clerk, full-charge bookkeeper and junior accountant;
  • already employed and looking for advancement to a position with more responsibility and higher pay; or
  • seeking higher education and plan to continue business and accounting studies at the senior college or university level.
