New! Anthropology 2401, Physical Anthropology/Human Evolution is a transferable
four-hour lab science course.
Topics covered include:
- genetic mechanisms of evolution
- our relatives in the primate world
- the human fossil record from Lucy to modern humans
- varieties of human types
- evolution of human diet, resistance to disease, and the rise of toolmaking and language
The course format will include lectures, discussions, lab experiments and demonstrations.
