Volunteer Information

Volunteers are vital to the success of Las Llaves del Éxito. Our valued volunteers have an opportunity to reach out to the youth of our community and encourage prospective students to seek a college education. They play a big role in influencing the future workforce of America.
More than 200 volunteers work with students and their parents at each Las Llaves event, providing practical information to help them become college-bound.
Online volunteer registration has closed for the March 28 Las Llaves event, but you can still register on site!
On the day of the event, volunteers should register or check in:
When: Saturday, March 28 — 15 minutes before your shift
Where: Volunteer Room — D230
Cedar Valley College
3030 N. Dallas Ave.
Lancaster, TX 75134

Don’t forget to dress comfortably. Jeans and sneakers are allowed!

Volunteer Jobs

Volunteers receive a printed job description the morning of the event with details of expected duties and lunch time. A volunteer T-shirt and lunch will be provided.

Here are some of the areas where help is needed:

  • Registration
  • Exhibitor greeters
  • Equipment handlers
  • Volunteer leads/captains
  • Food handlers/servers
  • Session runners
  • Work with facilitators
  • Hall monitors
  • Entrance and opening session greeters
  • Bus registration
  • Evaluation pickup
  • Translators
  • Setup/cleanup
  • Bus monitors

Because of the nature of the event, often you will be asked to perform more than one job duty. For example, you may do bus registration in the morning and be asked to be a facilitator or runner during sessions.
