Students of the colleges of DCCCD get a free online account that includes Microsoft Outlook email and Microsoft Office 365. Every student, whether credit or noncredit, will automatically be assigned a free account.
Microsoft Outlook is one of the most widely used email programs. Every student will have his or her own unique email address.
Note: Before you install or access your email, you must change your eConnect password. To do so, go to the “Change Password” page in eConnect (https://econnect.dcccd.edu/passwordChange.html). Complete the form on the page and then click Submit.
(If you’ve forgotten your password to sign into eConnect, reset your password on the “Forgot/Reset My Password” page at https://econnect.dcccd.edu/passwordReset.html).
Click on outlook.dcccd.edu.
Sign in with your username: email@example.com (substitute your student ID number for the 1234567) and your eConnect password.
After you sign in, you’ll see the Office 365 mailbox. Click on the gear symbol (to the left of the question mark):
Choose "Office 365 settings."

Microsoft Office 365 includes such popular products and services as OneDrive, WebApps and ProPlus:
Who can install and use the Student Advantage Office products?
All currently enrolled students of the colleges of DCCCD.
How many copies of the software can I install?
You can install up to five copies of Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus or Office for Mac Professional 2011 software on a home computer and up to five mobile Office copies. (The installation includes Microsoft Outlook email.) The mobile version runs on many Android devices plus iPads and iPhones. The mobile versions are not full-featured. However, they should let you do almost anything you need to do.
Will it work on both PCs and Macs?
Will I be able to keep the programs once I graduate or leave my college?
Not forever. You will be able to use the programs for up to a year after you leave DCCCD. If you are no longer enrolled, we delete your account one year after you leave. As the end of the one year approaches, you will be notified and offered an opportunity to save your files or convert your account to a personal fee-based account. After you have left DCCCD for one year, the Office documents you created under the account will become read-only, and you will not be able to edit the files.
