Application Deadlines

Keep the following dates in mind when applying for financial aid.

FAFSA Deadlines

You may complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) anytime after Jan. 1 prior to the award year, but no later than June 30 of the following year.

The colleges of DCCCD set up priority dates to make sure that if you qualify for certain types of financial aid, an award will be processed before the first day of classes.

If you plan to attend Fall only, or Fall and Spring semesters: The priority deadline for submitting your FAFSA application is May 1.
If you plan to attend only the Spring semester: The priority deadline for submitting your FAFSA application is Oct. 1.
If you plan to attend the Summer term (Summer I and Summer II are combined into one payment period): The priority deadline for submitting your FAFSA application is March 1.

Scholarship Deadlines

Most scholarship programs have individual deadlines you must meet to be considered for an award.

Last Day to Apply for a Loan

Fall 2013: Nov. 1, 2013
Spring 2014: April 11, 2014
Summer 2014: July 10, 2014

Transcript Deadlines

If you attended any other institution(s), you must submit all official transcripts to us by the following dates and we must evaluate them before we can award financial aid.

Fall 2013: May 1, 2013
Spring 2014: Oct. 1, 2013
Summer 2014: March 1, 2014
