Two positions to teach courses in Associate Degree Nursing Program using a variety of teaching modalities in a classroom environment and performs other duties expected of a full-time faculty member as specified in the DCCCD contract.

• Must be flexible working with program demands, including teaching.
  
  
• Schedules involving day, evening or weekend and non-traditional times on and off site.
  
  
• Serving on appropriate departmental, college and district committees.
  
  
• Participates enthusiastically in recruitment and retention activities; advises students regarding degree/certificate plans and coursework; engages in professional development activities; contributes to department’s curriculum developmental efforts, including Continuing Education workshops.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Nursing, licensed as RN in the state of Texas.

• One year of demonstrated teaching experience in an Associate Degree Program.

• Specialty areas: Med/Surg, OB, Pedi or Psych, combinations in specialties a plus.

• Familiarity with critical thinking concepts and with computers in instruction necessary.

• Requires professional demeanor, good communication skills, interpersonal skills and demonstrated teaching skills, writing syllabi, exams and ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.
