Information Technology-Quality Assurance Specialist

Salary: $2,812 / Month
A full-time IT position in the Application Development/Student Systems Department. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all screens and processes in the Colleague Student Systems involving but not limited to credit and continuing education admissions, records, registration, advising, Texas Success Initiative (TSI), dual credit, curriculum, communications management, degree audit and international students, along with a solid understanding of the other components such as Financial Aid and accounts receivables.
- Participate and coordinate large group end user testing and training as required.
- Interpret documentation of enhancement/updates to Colleague and translate them into quality assurance test plans.
- Maintain exceptional documentation concerning test results and functionality of the Colleague system before and after enhancements and/or updates to the student systems.
- Will work in team environment and will be required to effectively articulate quality standards and test results to appropriate personnel.
- Work a flexible schedule which may include working weekends and late evenings as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in related area plus two years of relevant experience or graduation from high school or equivalent plus four years of relevant experience (a combination of relevant college coursework/training plus relevant work experience may be used to total four years of experience).
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Official transcripts may be required.
- A criminal background check will be conducted.
