Two teaching positions available in the Science, Allied Health & Physical Education division. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Teach courses in Associate Degree Nursing program using a variety of teaching modalities in a classroom environment and perform other duties expected of a full-time faculty member as specified in the DCCCD contract.

• Specialty needed: Med-Surg, or any of the following Med-Surg/OB, Med-Surg/Pedi or Med/Psych.

• Must be flexible working with program demands, including teaching schedules involving day, evening, or weekend and non-traditional teaching times on and off site.

• Serving on appropriate departmental, college and district committees.

• Participates enthusiastically in recruitment and retention activities; contributes to the department’s curriculum development efforts.

Requirements:

• Requires professional demeanor, good communication skills, interpersonal skills and demonstrated teaching skills, writing syllabi, exams and ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds. Master’s degree in Nursing.

• Licensed as RN in the State of Texas and three years recent hospital clinical experience.

• Familiarity with critical thinking concepts and use of computers in instruction is necessary.
