Salary: $40,022 / Min. Annual Salary
A full-time position in the Nursing & Allied Health Department. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates and develops the class schedule for each semester.
- Initiates and coordinates textbook orders.
- Oversees on-line instruction, including testing.
- Develops and oversees program budget, including purchasing and receiving of supplies.
- Meets on a regular basis with the HPRS program coordinator of El Centro College and Director of Nursing.
- Keeps current with academic advising and program advisement.
- Reviews and approves degree plan substitutions.
- Keeps appropriate advisors informed on curriculum and program changes.
- Investigates, mediates and resolves student/faculty complaints.
- Works closely with division dean, faculty and staff to plan meetings with district-wide distance programs.
- May be responsible for interviewing, screening and for the hiring process for adjunct faculty and conducting orientation for part-time faculty, including processing contracts.
- May chair meetings with the program faculty.
- Coordinates the development and evaluation of the program goals and objectives.
- Keeps current and informed of new directions in the program making adjustments and recommendations to meet changes.
- Responsible for seeing that all HPRS labs are set up and ready for instruction.
- Attends graduation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Nursing or Allied Health plus a minimum of three years of recent clinical experience.
- Must hold current credentials, including state licensure, as applicable, in allied health or nursing.
- Demonstrated teaching experience.
- Requires the ability to identify and integrate program activities into diverse student populations.
- Experience with marketing programs and building community support for programs.
- Knowledge of laboratory research set up and management.
- Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others.
- Proven oral and written communication skills to support effective interactions with individuals from a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds.
