Think you don’t have the money for college? We can help. DCCCD’s Rising Star Program is here for you.

What Is Rising Star?

Rising Star provides qualified high school graduates with academic support services and up to $4,000 for tuition and books, if you have established financial need.

The DCCCD Foundation created the Rising Star Program because we believe everyone should have a chance to realize the American dream. We also believe that a college education through the Dallas County Community College District is an excellent first step toward achieving that goal.

Recognizing that some people truly lack the personal finances needed for college — even the affordable rates offered by DCCCD — the Foundation established the Rising Star Scholars Program in 1999.
