Each financial aid applicant is assigned a COA according to how the student fits into the classifications in the chart.
The Financial Aid Office must make sure that the combined total of federal, state or local financial aid awarded does not exceed a student’s COA. The COA for Dallas County Community College District is revised and recorded annually with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
