When you drop below six hours (half time) of enrollment, leave school or graduate, you will have a six-month grace period before you start repaying your loans. During this period, you will receive repayment information from your loan servicer or lender, and you will receive notification of your first payment due date.

The Federal Direct Loan Program offers several repayment plans that are designed to meet the different needs of individual borrowers. Make sure to complete the loan exit counseling as you can gain more detailed information on your repayment options.

You can also contact your lender or loan servicer for more information or to make payment arrangements. If, for any reason, you are having trouble repaying your loans, there are many options available to you. Please do not hesitate to contact your lender or loan servicer to inquire about these options.
