DCCCD Style Guide and Graphic Standards

The DCCCD Style Guide and Graphic Standards (PDF - 7.95MB) are designed to strengthen DCCCD's overall brand, while enabling each college to reflect its own personality. Developing a common visual identity is an essential step in reinforcing our image in the community. Using style standards ensures that our external publications are consistent, professional and targeted to our audiences.

All DCCCD employees who publish mass communications will follow the DCCCD Style Guide and Graphic Standards. This group includes the locations and district administration.

See the Style Guide Addendum for updates that are awaiting the next full revision.

The District Style Guide applies to mass communications (as identified by each college). It does not apply to instructional materials, Starlink, Dallas TeleLearning or eConnect. The Catalog Group and the Communication Management Committee will follow the District Style Guide except when an overriding authority prevails (WECM, SACS, etc.).

The DCCCD Graphic Standards must be applied to all external communications, including:

  • Advertisements
  • Annual reports
  • Billboards
  • Brochures
  • Catalog covers
  • Class schedule covers
  • Newspaper inserts
  • Posters
  • Quick copy fliers/brochures
  • Viewbooks (print and CD)
  • Websites - see also the Web style guide (PDF - 5.4MB)
District Logos

For your convenience, the District Logos page features downloadable district and college logos, for print and for the Web, as well as PowerPoint templates and related guidelines and information.

Samples of Photo Release Forms

Note: If photography will be used by multiple organizations, you may want to develop a shared photo release form that all organizations can use (see second sample below).
