Key Programs
Some DORCE key programs include:

Service-Learning ~ A program offered at all seven colleges that impacts the community by allowing students an opportunity to learn by serving in a variety of settings.
Día de la Familia ~ A free event that celebrates DCCCD's Annual Hispanic Family Day and incorporates food, entertainment and educational information sessions for the whole family.  This event has been held at a DCCCD college for over ten years.
Major Mania ~ A partnership with Dallas ISD's Career Education and Workforce Partnerships to organize a summer event for recent Dallas ISD graduates who may not have acted on college plans.
College STEPS ~ A partnership with Dallas ISD's Mother/Daughter and Father/Son program.  This program targets 6th grade student participants and their parents by engaging them with higher education opportunities available at DCCCD.
 
Motivational Speaker Series ~ A program  that impacts elementary, intermediate, middle and high school students with a "Stay in School" message.  It also incorporates Rising Star as a recruitment tool for DCCCD.
Las Llaves del Éxito-The Keys to Success  ~ A highly successful program delivering important higher education access information to the community; a partnership with Dallas ISD, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, area universities and non-profit organizations.
"Keepin' It Real" Youth Empowerment Summit ~ A partnership with Teen Graffiti Magazine to provide a one-day program at a DCCCD college along with interactive workshops.
African American Read-In  ~ An annual month-long project presented in support of increasing literacy and commemorating African American heritage during Black History Month.  It kicks off with an original stage production at the Majestic Theatre, and is followed by community read-ins at schools, colleges, churches, book stores, etc.
