Eligibility:An employee who is sick or injured may return to work if:

1. The employee is able to perform the essential functions of the employee's job with or without reasonable accommodation; and
2. The employee's doctor certifies that the employee is able perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Procedures:In the event of a disability for which an employee seeks accommodation to enable the employee to perform essential functions of the job, the employee should request, in writing, from the supervisor.  The Supervisor will contact the location Human Resources Director (or equivalent position) and forward the written request.  The location Human Resources Director will consult District Human Resources to validate the request for accommodations.
