Procedures:

The district provides parking at each location for employees except at the R.L. Thornton Jr. Building, El Centro College and the University Center at Dallas. Effective Sept. 1, 2007, the monthly parking stipend is $110.00 for each full-time and limited full-time employee at these three downtown locations in lieu of providing a parking facility.

A faculty member whom the district employs on a full-time basis during the academic year shall receive a stipend of $100 for each summer session the faculty member teaches at El Centro College.

The chancellor shall announce procedures to implement this policy.

Exceptions To Policy:
  • This provision does not apply to employees who are provided parking by the district.
  • The parking stipend should be deleted or prorated when an employee has LWOP in a given month or if the employee is not using any earned leave (Sick Leave, Vacation or Extenuating).
  • If the employee has been awarded Sick Leave Pool hours, then the employee does not have earned leave, and the stipend is deleted or prorated as appropriate.
