- Position announcement is sent to District Human Resources for release.
- District Human Resources prepares notice in flier format.
- District Human Resources provides the information via e-mail/attachment to the following groups for release to their constituents:
- Chancellor's Cabinet
- Faculty Council
- Presidents
- Location HR Offices
- Vice Presidents (Instruction and Student Development)
- District-wide faculty email group (managed by DHR)

- District Human Resources will post transfer notices on the Internet/intranet vacancy pages and notice of transfer opportunities will be included (as needed) on the DCCCD Dial-A-Job recording.

General Timeline
- Declaration of interest by faculty member (to hiring location) required within two (2) weeks from the announcement of position availability by District Human Resources. (Note: Generally, notice of faculty transfer opportunities is made at the same time the vacancies are announced to external audiences.)
- The College will generally require one (1) to two (2) weeks for review and consideration of internal transfers.
- Upon final decision, internal applicants/District Human Resources will be notified of next actions (i.e., transfer or external advertising).
