Administrators and Supervisors Academy
The Administrators and Supervisors Academy is a systematic and consistent approach to the professional development of supervisors and administrators developed by the District Department of Human and Organizational Development (OrgDev).
The goal of the academy is ongoing/just-in-time professional development for supervisors and administrators to enable them to function effectively in leadership positions they currently hold in the District.
Basic Leadership
Basic Leadership is designed by Organizational Development (OrgDev) to develop both personal and professional leadership skills for employees participating in this program.
Career Institutes
The Career Institutes is a systematic approach to career and professional development for faculty and staff. To take advantage of career opportunities within the District, a variety of Career Institutes will be offered, each culminating with a Certificate of Mastery.
Faculty Development Programs
Faculty Development is a series of workshops for faculty that are designed to enhance and promote effective teaching, student learning and retention. It also includes Visions of Excellence (VoE), an orientation program for new faculty.
Regulatory Training
The Regulatory Training Program is a series of sessions designed for all DCCCD employees to ensure that regulatory training and record keeping is in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Professional Development
The Professional Development Program consists of short-term stand-alone training and development programs in addition to the Career Institutes and Regulatory Training programs. These additional programs cover a variety of topics and are open to faculty, staff and administrators who may or may not be involved in the Career Institutes.
Employee Orientations
Employee Orientations consists of New Employee Orientation (NEO) and New Supervisor Orientation (NSO).
