John Shellene

John Shellene, founder of Sherpa Management Partners, has worked in the non-profit and foundation sectors both as a professional and a volunteer for over 16 years. John earned his Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas in Arlington.  

Sherpa Management partnerships help nonprofits achieve their goals while enabling them to focus on the primary mission. Sherpa concentrates on accelerating the realization of an organization’s vision, developing and managing the boards, managing programming, managing operations and administration, managing collaborative and relational partnerships, writing and managing grants and developing funds.  

Sherpa Management Partners strives to continually realize their goal as the premier non-profit, foundation, and education/industry project management firm in Texas, ensure honesty and integrity in representing their clients to the greater community, deliver on promises consistently and in a timely fashion, offer their clients professional excellence through experienced and well-qualified personnel, build community partnerships among their clients through communicating similarities and strategizing to achieve common goals.
 
Sherpa Management Partners’ clients include the DFW Semiconductor & Technology Executive Council, the Texas Engineering & Technical Consortium, Texas Instruments, National Instruments, The Texas High School Project, Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center, US FIRST, among many others who work in education, technology, philanthropy, local, state and federal governments.  

John enjoys being involved in the community. He currently serves as chairman of the SMU Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program Board For Knowledge, chairman of the Governmental Relations Committee for the Dallas Children’s Theater, board member for the University of North Texas College of Engineering, board member for the University of Texas at Arlington President’s Business Advisory Board, board and executive committee member for Head Start of Greater Dallas, and CCLI national proposal review panel member for the National Science Foundation.
