DCCCD Smart Careers 

The Office of Workforce Education is a part of the staff of Academic and Student Programs within the District Office of Educational Affairs. The Office of Workforce Education works in cooperation with DCCCD colleges to develop, implement, evaluate and market workforce education and training programs offered for semester credit hours and Continuing Education Units (C.E.U.s). The primary functions of the office include ensuing compliance with:

Workforce Education serves as the liaison for the DCCCD to the THECB Community and Technical College Division on matters related to workforce education.

The District Director of Workforce Development coordinates the meetings and issues the minutes of the Technical Education Deans' Council. The Office of Workforce Development serves as an informational resource for policies, procedures, guidelines, documents and forms associated with workforce education programs and courses.
