The DCCCD/WU degree in Visual Communications first year core curriculum of study is designed to provide the student with basic foundation knowledge and technical skills required for various fields within the visual communications industry. Completion of the Visual Communications Core Curriculum earns a Certificate in Visual Communications and enables the student to enter a specialized track of study of either Communication Design, Multimedia Communications, Illustration, Prepress Production, or Journalism. The complete course of study provides for the development of creative, conceptual, technical, interpersonal and communication skills necessary to a career within the visual communications industry. Within the specialization in Journalism, the course of study is design to develop the skills, attitudes and professionalism to enable students to enter the field of Journalism. Emphasis is upon the visual aspects of the journalism industry.
This contract represents the approved articulation agreement defining the degree program between World University and the Dallas County Community College District/Brookhaven College. This contract becomes effective upon the date of signatures requested below and shall remain in effective until terminated via execution of a written request by either party providing a (2) year notice.
