Transfer Tips and Rules
- DCCCD Core Curriculum
The DCCCD core curriculum is a course of study that all students are required to complete before receiving an associate degree. This set of basic college courses is designed to transfer as a block of credit from one Texas public college or university to another.
- How to Request a Transcript
If you want to transfer credit to another college or university, you will need to submit a transcript, a written record of your coursework at Dallas County Community College District. Find out how the process works.
- How Repeated Courses Transfer for Admission Credit
If you take a course more than once and transfer the credit, some universities and colleges may treat your credits and/or grades differently than others. Learn more about some of the policies at Texas public universities.
- Inverted Plans (Associate of Applied Sciences Degree)
Traditionally, college students take basic courses during their first two years and then specialize in a subject area the last two years. Inverted plans reverse that order, letting you specialize in a certain technical/occupational field in your first two years, then complete your basic academic courses.
- Transfer Guarantee
DCCCD guarantees the transferability of courses under certain conditions.

- Tuition Rebate Program
If you receive a bachelor's degree from a Texas public university, you may qualify for a $1,000 rebate if you meet certain requirements. Plan your course of study to maximize your chances of qualifying for the rebate. Start the process by talking to an academic advisor. |
