Information Assurance and Forensics
Richland College/Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology College Information Assurance and Forensics Transfer Agreement |
Whereas, Richland College and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, both regionally accredited higher education institutions, are committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities; and
Whereas, Richland College and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology share a common bond in workforce education and economic development; and
Whereas, the governing boards of Richland College and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology are committed to the creation and facilitation of robust career and educational pathways;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that both parties understand this agreement is specific to the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology Bachelor of Technology in Information Assurance and Forensics and Richland College Associate in Applied Sciences in Digital Forensics degrees. To this end, the agreement contains the following provisions:
- Richland College and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology will collaborate to provide current and prospective Richland College students with quality advisement and services in fulfillment of this transfer agreement;
- Representatives of Richland College and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology will approve the design of any marketing materials publicizing this agreement;
- Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology will, as permitted under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, provide Richland College with an annual report regarding the number and performance of Richland College alumni who enroll at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology;
- Appropriate faculty and administrators of Richland College and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology will meet annually to review and maintain the transfer guide, assess and develop program offerings, schedule student and faculty visits, explore facilities and faculty sharing, and investigate joint extramural resource generation.
Upon formal approval of this transfer agreement by the following officials of Richland College and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, each is free to publicize the terms herein. These terms shall remain in effect until one or both of the institutions deem it necessary to modify or terminate the agreement.

Description:
This agreement marks a partnership between Richland College (RC) and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) in the facilitation of student transfer from RC to OSUIT. Under this agreement, students completing the Associate in Applied Sciences in Digital Forensics at RC (as listed) will be able to transfer up to sixty three (63) credit hours into the OSUIT Bachelor of Technology in Information Assurance & Forensics.

Advisement Notes
Students completing the following Richland College courses will be able to apply the content of those courses to the OSUIT Bachelor of Technology in Information Assurance and Forensics plan of study; however, they will be required to complete six (6) hours of approved, upper-division technical coursework to satisfy the degree’s upper-division credit hour requirements;
- ITSY 1442 Information Technology Security
- ITSY 2401 Firewalls and Network Security and/or ITSY 1442 Information Technology Security

Students undertaking the OSUIT Bachelor of Technology in Information Assurance and Forensics must:Complete at least 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited, senior level (i.e., baccalaureate degree granting) institution;
- Complete at least 30 hours through OSUIT;
- Complete 15 of their final 30 hours through OSUIT;
- Receive a “C” or higher in all major coursework;
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA to graduate.
