This agreement confirms the transferability of courses taught at El Centro College into the Bachelor of Arts/Science In Political Science with Emphasis in Paralegal Studies Degree Program at Texas A&M University-Commerce. This agreement becomes effective upon the date of receipt of the signatures requested below, and shall remain effective until terminated via execution of a written request by either party with one year notice.

Additional Institutional Core Curriculum Designations

Texas A&M University - Commerce 46 semester hours Core Curriculum requirements may be met by completion of 43 semester hours at El Centro College and 3 semester hours completed through Texas A&M University-Commerce as a designated Upper Division Capstone course. Students wishing to complete the core curriculum at El Centro College may do so by completing an additional 3 hour course from the Humanities component and a 3 hour computer science course—COSC 1300 or higher.

Students at El Centro College who complete through instruction the recommended general education core curriculum and Paralegal courses listed above may transfer the 55 hours to Texas A&M University - Commerce as fully applicable credit toward the Bachelor of Arts/Science in Political Science-Paralegal Studies. The minimum number of hours required for the Bachelor Degree is 120. No advanced credit will be awarded for courses completed at the community college. A student must complete at least 36 semester hours at the advanced level, 24 of which must be completed through A&M-Commerce. A minimum of 60 hours must be completed through instruction provided by Texas A&M University-Commerce or another senior level institution. For degree completion at least 25% of credit semester hours must be earned through instruction provided by Texas A&M University-Commerce.
