This agreement is between the Cedar Valley College Veterinary Technology program (CVC-VTech) and Northwestern Michigan College (NMC). Cedar Valley College is a member institution in the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approves the CVC-VTech curriculum and program.
Intent
The intent of this agreement is to allow NMC students to complete 19 credit hours at NMC and transfer to CVC’s Veterinary Technology program to complete another 53 credit hours to earn an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology.
Terms and Conditions
Detailed procedures and general policies, reviewed and approved by each party, are outlined and contained within this articulation agreement. This information is available to students, parents, counselors, teachers, administrators, and others by contacting the CVC-VTech Program Director or NMC representatives.
- Students must meet the admission requirements of NMC to enroll in the program.
- 19 credit hours of prerequisites and general studies courses must be completed at NMC, as specified below:
4 credit hours of Biology requirement: BIO 106 (DCCCD equivalent BIOL 1406)
3 credit hours of English requirement ENG 111 (DCCCD equivalent ENGL 1301)
3 credit hours of Math requirement: select any one of the following courses: MTH 106, 121, or 131 (DCCCD equivalent MATH 1333, 1414, 2342, respective.
3 credit hours of Speech requirement: COM 111 (DCCCD equivalent SPCH 1311)
3 credit hours of Fine Arts/Humanities requirement: select any one course from the equivalencies/ chart listed below: art, foreign language, dance, drama, literature, humanities, music, philosophy, photography, or religion

4) This agreement shall remain in full force and effect until the time it is terminated. Either party may revoke the agreement by giving the other party at least three months’ written notice prior to the date of desired termination.
5) Any changes to this articulation agreement will be made and approved by the executive directors of the programs at both the institutions.
6) CVC-VTech must notify NMC of any proposed change in curriculum within 90 days of the implementation date. If NMC is dissatisfied with the change, the articulation agreement will be voidable at its discretion.

8) Students participating in this articulation agreement, who have prerequisites and general studies courses, other than those specifically listed in the agreement, will be considered and evaluated on an individual basis by the appropriate designated person in the DEVTP program.
