First Annual Student Success Summer Institute
Engaging Students for Student Success

The Dallas County Community College District Office of Student Retention, presented the First Annual Student Success Summer Institute: “Engaging Our Students for Student Success.” 

This Institute was designed to be interactive and engaging, while participants and fellow team members focused on the overall mission of our institution: Student Success. The keynote speakers and institute presenters shared some successes of programs in student engagement occurring in our District and across the country. 

Topics covered such areas as successful developmental studies practices, successful techniques to engage students in the classroom, understanding data in the quest for student success, practices with first-time-in-college student, and many other helpful strategies.
