Tech Prep Information for Parents
Tech Prep is a program designed to give high school students a jump start on their future. Your teen could start Tech Prep programs as early as 9th grade.

Even before your teen leaves high school, he or she can be earning college credit for the courses your high school offers. Students must take two or more coureses in the same Tech Prep program to earn credit.

High school students who begin their Tech Prep education early may be able to earn enough credits to substantially reduce the time and expense associated with a college education.

Talk to a Career Technical Education (CTE) instructor or school counselor at your teen’s high school to enroll.
