Goal: 1. Pursuant to the state’s goals in “Closing the Gaps in Participation and Success Initiative” the North Central Texas Tech Prep Consortium aims to increase the number of high school students who enroll, persist, and graduate from recognized AAS Tech-Prep programs and are placed in relevant careers or pursue Baccalaureate Degrees.
Goal: 2. Enlist the full support of Texas high schools, public two-year associate degree-granting institutions and four-year universities in developing, supporting, and improving recognized AAS Tech-Prep programs of study that are in alignment with “Achieve Texas Clusters”.
Goal: 3. Evaluate and document the effectiveness of each sector and the consortium as a whole.
Goal: 4. Market tech prep to students, parents, business and industry, and the community.
Goal: 5. Expand the role of employers in improving educational experiences for Tech Prep students.
Goal: 6. Encourage improved teaching concepts and methodologies which integrate academic and technical skills at secondary and postsecondary levels.
