Goal 1: Increase the number of high school students who enroll, persist, and graduate from AAS Tech-Prep programs and are placed in relevant jobs or pursue additional education.
Goal 2: Enlist the full support of Texas high schools and public two-year associate degree-granting institutions in developing supporting, and improving relevant AAS Tech-Prep programs. Increase the number of AAS Tech Prep programs by 1% annually until 95% of all qualifying AAS programs have articulated Tech Prep pathways.
Goal 3: Evaluate and document the effectiveness of Tech Prep activities.
Goal 4: Market the Tech Prep program to students, parents, business and industry, and the community. Provide a minimum of 4 (four) opportunities annually for community outreach.
Goal 5: Expand role of employers in improving educational experiences for Tech Prep students. Goal 6: Encourage improved teaching concepts and methodologies at secondary and postsecondary levels. Provide at least 1 (one) professional development opportunity per year in the area of contextual and/or integrated learning.
