Regional Alignment

Overview:

The goal of the North Central Texas Tech Prep Consortium (NCTTPC) Regional Alignment committee is to complete regional alignment of three Tech Prep programs (Accounting, Computer Aided Design and Drafting, and Electronics). The committee’s alignment of the three programs, resulted in three standardized six year plans that are in compliance with the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) classification of courses. These six-year plans were reviewed by a regional representation of college and high school instructors. A standardized Regional Articulation Process Policy form has been developed.

Purpose:

The purpose of the regional alignment is to ensure that every student served by the NCTTPC will have an opportunity to enlist in a program in one of the college’s service areas. If this student desires to continue at another college within the NCTTPC area, he/she will be able to transfer all credits to that college.
