Encourage family and community support for tech prep programs and students

COMMITTEE: Parental Involvement A group of parents dedicated to improving parental understanding and appreciation of the tech prep process.

Measure A: The committee will continue to research, recommend and evaluate activities of tech prep involving parents, guardians and community in the education of students.

PI Committee Co-Chairs: Continue to recruit parents representing all school and colleges to serve on PI Committee.

Coordinator’s/Director : Educate parents and community members by disseminating tech prep materials at college recruitment activities and P.T.A conference/meetings.

NCTTPC Staff: Utilize statewide marketing tools to outreach parents and the community.

PI Com: Randomly select parents representing all students to participate in survey. Develop and test survey. Provide list of volunteers to Regional Office.

Parent Volunteers: Complete survey and return to Regional Office. Results will be given to PI Com.
