Expand role for employers and their involvement in education:

COMMITTEE: Regional WSLO Alignment (WSLO Com) a strong group of high school, college and business partners will advise NCTTPC Staff and Sector coordinators of successful employer programs.

Measure A: Recommend and evaluate activities of tech prep, especially as they relate to the involvement of employers in the education of students.

WSLO Com: Consider and make recommendations for how the NCTTPC should endorse and support successful programs.

NCTTPC Staff: Compile a list of employers/Directory of Business and Industry that will be distributed to our secondary and post secondary instructors.

NCTTPC Staff: Recruit business and industry employers to work with secondary/post secondary institutions.

Director: Make on-site visits to 2 employers having successful mentor programs.

NCTTPC Staff : Recruit employer mentors. List mentor names names of businesses, addresses, phone numbers and email address.

NCTTPC Staff : Monitor mentor-student relationships on an ongoing basis.

Sectors: Increase student and employer participation each year by 5%.

Coordinators/Sectors: Will provide a Tech Fair, career days for recruitment.
