The Department of Outreach, Recruitment and Community Engagement (DORCE) has numerous events, activities and programs which are designed with a specific audience in mind. These programs are classified as the following initiatives.
- Community Outreach Programs: are open to the general public and usually involve city, non-profit agencies, universities and school districts as planning partners.
- Education Outreach Programs: are tailored to directly impact targeted student groups based on specific informational needs. These programs are usually coordinated with ISD administration.
- Faith-Based Outreach Programs: are designed to target hard to reach populations through strong ties to the faith-based community, in particular minority male recruitment projects.
- Other Outreach Programs: are those programs which aren’t categorized as any of those listed above. However, they are designed to increase knowledge and awareness of DCCCD.
