Gospel Expo
The Gospel Expos’ mission is to bring a synergy of empowering organizations, service providers, entertainment and the community together for a day and lifetime of empowerment. DORCE partners with the Expo as bronze level sponsors for a fall event, with a Districtwide booth providing information on DCCCD college programs and services.

Target: Community members throughout Dallas County.

"Keepin’ It Real" Youth Empowerment Summit
Teen Graffiti Magazine and local churches partner with DORCE to organize a one-day free summit to provide young people (ages 12-18) with information to help them be successful students and responsible citizens. DCCCD colleges participate as vendors to provide information on programs and services. Event is held at DCCCD colleges on a rotating basis.

Target: Teens ages 12-18; primarily draws African-American youth from the southern sector.

RISE (Regional Interfaith Supporting Education)
This annual event is the collaborative effort of the Educational Affairs Community Development Department, Cedar Valley College, Mountain View College, Eastfield College, El Centro College and the University of North Texas in Dallas. Church and spiritual leaders of all faiths are invited to attend a breakfast and learn more about area colleges and universities and how they can assist their communities in accessing higher education. Information of particular interest to the leaders (e.g. grant writing) is also incorporated into the event. Followup is provided to facilitate setting up workshops and education information sessions in the churches.

Target: Spiritual leaders primarily in the southern and southeastern sectors.

"Teens Networking Together" – Annual Fall Youth Summit
DCCCD has formed a partnership with University of North Texas Dallas and Tarrant County College. This open forum will help middle and high school students expand upon Spirituality, Education, Leadership and Faith. Topics of discussions and workshops include financial aid, Tech Prep, Texas Two Step, college preparation, community service, understanding cultural diversity, spirituality, decision-making and communications.

Target: At risk teens between 12 -18 years of age throughout Dallas & Tarrant County.
