Core 2009 Committee
Progress Report
During the month of September, the Core 2009 committee has been in a formational stage, bonding as a group, identifying procedural practices and norms, and undertaking group learning activities.
The group agreed upon the development of Guiding Principles that will frame discussions and recommendations that the committee makes. Other decisions included:
- Use of eCampus for internal communication
- Use of Core 2009 web page with Core 2009 Suggestion Form for public input
- Weekly meeting schedule with target completion date of May 2008 or early Fall 2008
- Use of group reading assignments to build common informational foundation

Group Learning activities included:
October activities will include:
- Confirmation of Guidelines
- Confirmation of Timeline (through January)
- Refinement of focused discussion questions for hearings
- Continued research of best practices and foundational readings
