The CORE 2009 committee is charged to develop a process that includes broad input and feedback from the DCCCD community.
Student forums are being held at each college in January and February to provide opportunities for students to share their opinions on the following questions:
- What intellectual and practical skills must DCCCD students possess to be successful in the 21st century?
- How can the CORE engage students with the big questions and enduring concepts?
- What opportunities exist to close gaps in student learning?

Comments from the forum will be used by the CORE 2009 committee as they deliberate what courses should be recommended for inclusion in the DCCCD Core Curriculum.
College-wide forums were held in November, and nearly 400 faculty, staff, and students participated in the discussions. To read a summary of the November forums, including representative participant comments, please click here (pdf file size=107kb).
If you have not participated in a forum and cannot participate in the student forums, there are still opportunities to have your opinions heard. Everyone is invited to provide input via email using the Suggestion Form.
