The person being submitted for consideration embodies just about all the great attributes of the Power of a Positive Employee (POPE); however, time allows references to only a few.
In the midst of managing budgets, completing grant reports and initiating new partnerships for DCCCD, this candidate always maintains a positive attitude and infectious spirit related to higher education. While her regularly named job duties include Teacher Education, International Programs and Workforce Development, she is known throughout the district for her expertise in Continuing Education, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) rules/regulations, Colleague/Datatel, business office procedures and Board guidelines. She is a wealth of information, particularly when it comes to the well-being, growth and success of our students.
Additionally, she recently accepted the statewide responsibility of serving as president of the Texas Association of College Technical Educators (TACTE) — which demonstrates her “positivity.”
