Lori Steward is one of those hidden treasures at 701 Elm! Lori exemplifies “team player” spirit. She has quietly volunteered and served on many committees here at the District Office for the past several years as well as volunteered her time to countless community organizations.
Because of her commitment to excellence, Lori is considered a leader in her field and has earned the respect of so many coworkers with her positive can-do attitude in finding the solutions you need.
Her experience as a community college student making the transition to a four-year university has given her much insight into the needs of our students. She’s a strong advocate for providing students with the tools they need to succeed. She has volunteered for numerous districtwide events working toward promoting the mission and vision of our organization.
Lori believes in continuous growth and has just recently received her Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Texas at Arlington. She plans to pursue her master’s degree while maintaining an active role in her children’s activities.
Lori is an excellent role model for her children. You can see them volunteering their services right beside their mother on many occasions.
Lori’s commitment to the district, student services, the community and her family is a tough balancing act that she seems to master effortlessly. For those contributions and all of the other contributions she so unselfishly gives on a day-to-day basis, Lori is an excellent candidate for this month’s P.O.P.E. award.
