January - Jonathan Blundell

Jonathan Blundell has been employed with the DCCCD a little over a year, and my initial assessment and thoughts of him have proven to be true. I saw in him someone who would be a ready asset to the DCCCD. I saw a visionary who was not afraid to take risks in an effort to bring us to a cutting edge and to uphold our standards of excellence. In him, I saw someone who would not only be respectful to his colleagues; I saw someone who would also be kind to them. I saw someone who had a great sense of humor and who would inspire those around him.

Jonathan is always surfing the Web … no, no, no … hold that thought! He’s not goofing off on company time.  He is always trying to find new ways for us to use the Internet and other forms of technology more efficiently and effectively, and he quickly shares his findings with his teammates.

Jonathan works well alone but also finds extreme joy in being a team player. He is a quick study and has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

Within his brief employment with the DCCCD, he has:

  • Joined the PSSA team and built their new and impressive Web site;
  • Joined the District Office Green Team and has been an active member; and
  • Joined the African American Read-In Steering Committee’s marketing team.

Those are only a few of his many involvements that result in our overall success. He deserves to be honored as our P.O.P.E. I applaud Jonathan Blundell.
