A.  DEFINITION OF COVERAGE    

This policy insures against all risk of physical loss to art objects and semi-precious stones while on exhibit at any DCCCD campus or while in transit. The semi-precious stones must be in locked areas while on display for coverage to be applicable.

B.  LIMITS AND DEDUCTIBLES PER CLAIM   

Limits:          Reported Value of Art

Cost:            .037 per $100.00 of valuation per day

Deductible:  $1,000 charged to campus per incident

C.  ART LISTINGS   

By the 5th calendar day of each month, the College fiscal officer or designee, is responsible for submitting a report of all new, previously unreported exhibition art to the Risk Management Department at the District Service Center. The following information must be included on the report:

Name of artist

Title of art work

The medium used (or type of artwork)

The size of the art work

The value of the artwork

The exhibition dates (dates received until no longer at campus)

Transit

D.  CLAIMS   

Within 5 working days of the incident, the College fiscal officer or designee, will provide the following information in writing to the District Service Center Risk Management Department, who will submit it to the insurance claim agency:

Date of damage/loss

Copy of original exhibit report

An estimated value of the damage/loss

An explanation of how the artwork was damaged (campus police report)

A photograph of the damaged artwork

E.  CHARGES   

The premium is charged to the college based upon the value of the art and the duration of the exhibit. Charges are made to account 12-XX-107080-23703.
