The following Documentation & Procedures were developed from information provided by several IT professionals who work as business continuity experts for their given organizations. Some of the IT professionals work full-time as business continuity experts and others handle business continuity in addition to their regular duties. All agree that developing and maintaining a viable business continuity program for their organization’s IT department, while demanding, is necessary. This view has been reinforced by recent high profile disasters.
Some of the Documentation & Procedures bullet points might not apply to Campus IT Departments. The Business Continuity Program for District IT services is being developed by the District Service Center’s Information Technology Department with an alternate site at the LeCroy Center for Educational Telecommunications.
