Learn What's New for Conference Day

Richland College is hosting the Professional Support Staff (PSS) Conference Day and Cedar Valley College is hosting the Faculty-Administrator Conference Day on Thursday, Feb. 6.  

Conference Day is the day DCCCD sets aside every year for all employees to dedicate to professional growth and personal interaction with colleagues. This year's theme is Transforming Lives and Communities. 

PSS Conference Day includes:

  • Hot breakfast and lunch
  • Welcome Session including Dr. Kay Eggleston and Dr. Wright Lassiter as well as a video from Chancellor elect Dr. Joe May
  • More than 40 breakout sessions for morning and afternoon
  • “Social Stations” around campus from 7:30-11:30 a.m. serving coffee, hot tea and fruit-infused water for gathering, networking and streaming event photos
  • Great door prizes to be awarded in the afternoon
  • Announcement of PSS reimbursement scholarship awards
  • Announcement of winning college in North Texas Food Bank food drive

 Faculty-Administrator Conference Day includes:

  • A day of enrichment and renewal
  • Welcome Session including Dr. Jennifer Wimbish and Dr. Wright Lassiter as well as a video from Chancellor elect Dr. Joe May
  • Exciting presentations by faculty and administrators representing colleges and service units throughout the District
  • Two special guests:
    • Dr. Ashley Finley is senior director of assessment and research for the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC@U) and national evaluator for the Bringing Theory to Practice (BT to P) project.
    • Dr. Ron Carriveau is outcomes, assessment and measurement specialist for the Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment and Redesign (CLEAR) at the University of North Texas. 
  • Opportunities for networking and collaboration
