Join myPortal Treasure Hunt to Win Great Loot

By Jodie Rexroat

Summer is a time when we think about white sand beaches, ocean waves and buried treasure. Yes, buried treasure!

For the next 10 weeks, myPortal (https://myportal.dcccd.edu) will be home to a Treasure Hunt. The hunt began Monday, June 16, and will run through Aug. 22. It is open to all employees of the district except myPortal Adoption team members.
Each week, clues will be revealed through email and the College Announcements on myPortal to guide you on the hunt.
Players will have an opportunity to find two badges each week. For every badge located, the player earns a chance at both a weekly treasure drawing and an entry into the grand prize treasure drawing. This means players have the potential for their name to be in the “pot” 20 times for the grand prize treasure: two tickets to an FC Dallas professional soccer game. Treasure hunters will be able to track their progress through their Achievement page on myPortal.
In case you haven’t heard, myPortal is DCCCD’s “login-required” website that provides access to multiple Web services such as eConnect, email and Colleague; personalized information such as class schedules and targeted announcements; and much more.
So don your eye patch treasure-hunters, draw your sword and seek the adventure and fortune that lie within the pages of myPortal. Treasure awaits!
Rules for Plunder-Seekers
1.    All district employees (except myPortal Adoption team members) are eligible to participate.
2.    Clues will be released each week through email and myPortal College Announcements (on the myPortal home page). Clues will direct players to locate two badges within myPortal.
3.    Each located badge earns one entry into the prize drawing for that week and one entry into the grand prize drawing at the end of the 10 weeks.
4.    Players will have an opportunity to locate 20 badges in all. As a result, a player has the potential for 20 entries into the grand prize drawing.
5.    Badges will earn a player an entry into the weekly drawing only if located during the week in which its related clue is revealed.
6.    Badges may continue to be collected after the week they are revealed. However, badges collected “late” will earn the player an entry into the grand prize drawings only.
7.    Weekly and grand prize winners will be drawn randomly from eligible entries.
8.    Game progress can be tracked on the employee’s Achievement page on myPortal.
