The district provides parking at each location for employees except at El Centro College and Paramount. Effective Sept. 1, 2007, the monthly parking stipend is $110.00 for each full-time employee at these three downtown locations in lieu of providing a parking facility.

A faculty member whom the district employs on a full-time basis during the academic year shall receive a stipend of $135 for each summer session the faculty member teaches at El Centro College and Paramount Bldg.

The College District shall provide a parking stipend to adjunct faculty* teaching at a downtown location (801 Main, 701 Elm or 301 Market) as follows:


$100 per semester if teaching credit classes during the fall or spring (16 weeks)
$37.50 per semester if teaching credit classes during the summer semester (6 weeks)
$25.00 per semester if teaching credit classes during the winter-term or May semester term (3 weeks)
$25.00 per month (prorated to the nearest half month) for adjuncts teaching non-credit classes.
*Full-time employees receiving the $110 monthly parking stipend are not eligible for the adjunct parking stipend when teaching adjunct classes (credit or non-credit) at these locations.

Part-time professional support staff employees at 801 Main, or 301 Market, are eligible for a parking stipend of $25.00 per month.  This stipend is not applicable to student assistants or students enrolled in a classload of 6 or more credit hours, or both.

Exceptions To Policy

  • This provision does not apply to employees who are provided parking by the district.  The Chancellor shall promulgate procedures to implement this policy.
  • The parking stipend should be deleted or prorated when an employee has leave without pay in a given month or if the employee is not using any earned leave (Sick Leave, Vacation or Extenuating).
  • If the employee has been awarded Sick Leave Pool hours, then the employee does not have earned leave, and the stipend is deleted or prorated as appropriate.
