Work Study

The Federal Work-Study Program (FWS) is a need-based financial aid program that provides part-time (not to exceed 18.5 hours per week) employment for eligible students. To be considered, you should indicate your interest in work-study employment on the FAFSA you submit each year. The average wage for the FWS positions within DCCCD is $7 per hour.

If you receive financial aid from Brookhaven College:
You must visit Brookhaven’s Financial Aid Office in person for information about available jobs on campus and the job application process.

If you receive financial aid from Mountain View College:
You must visit Mountain View’s Financial Aid Office in person for information about available jobs on campus and the job application process.

If you receive financial aid from Cedar Valley College, Eastfield College, El Centro College, North Lake College or Richland College:
You may only apply for work-study jobs through the college’s online work-study job application process, CollegeWorks. This service lets you view job postings, complete job applications and submit your resume via the Web. DCCCD also provides a limited number of part-time employment opportunities for students who do not demonstrate financial need. In some cases, the Financial Aid Office may be able to help you find a job off-campus.
