New Databases and Trials

Encore

A new, state-of-the-art search technology for the library catalog is now available through Encore.  The new web-based search engine, called Encore, will reveal content like media and e-books, suggestions of recently added items, faceted search results for easily modifying queries, and pathways to relevant websites and library databases. Library patrons can access all this from a single "Google-like" search box.

New Database Subscriptions

Access is available to Guide to Reference. This online resource includes more than 16,000 trusted go-to sources and offers guidance in the form of introductory essays and annotations for entries.

Subscriptions are in place for these electronic resources:

The African American Experience

Access is available to the 2nd edition of the International Encyclopedia of the Social Sciences. This 9-volume ebook covers scholarship and fields that have emerged and matured since the publication of the original international edition. It highlights the expanding influence of economics in social science research and features new articles and biographies contributed by scholars from around the world on a wide array of global topics in the social sciences.
