Sharon Huston has been teaching Web design and e-commerce since 1995, the year Al Gore drew national attention to the Internet. Her teaching specialties include Web graphics, Web animation, multimedia programming and Web standards. Her professional interest in innovation, team-teaching and active learning has led to her involvement in several experimental classes, including Animated Algebra, a learning community composed of a traditional algebra class enhanced with a Flash programming course. Her education includes a DCCCD associate degree, a bachelor’s degree in history and a Master of Science degree in educational technology with a multimedia concentration from the University of North Texas. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in arts and technology at the University of Texas at Dallas.
