How to Get Started
To get started in the Welding Technology program for college credit, complete the admissions process at Mountain View College. When you meet with an academic advisor, mention your interest in the Welding Technology program so he or she can help you determine which courses you should take.
If you are planning to earn an associate degree or certificate, please note that you must complete 25 percent of your degree requirements at the college awarding the degree.
Tuition
Dallas County residents pay $123 per three-hour class — that’s $41 per credit hour, or less than $500 for a full semester load of 12 credit hours.

Transferring From DCCCD

The American Welding Society
The American Welding Society (AWS) is the primary resource for education, certification and careers in the welding profession. Founded in 1919 as a multifaceted, nonprofit organization, AWS covers the field from factory floor to high-rise construction and military weaponry to home products. Its goal is to advance the science, technology and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.
