Michael Poston began teaching broadcast engineering at North Lake in 2001. He has been employed by Irving Community Television Network for 16 years, where his duties include installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment associated with television production, as well as providing engineering support during television productions.

He has also worked at a post-production facility and at a local broadcast station owned by the Home Shopping Network.

His education includes electronics technology in the U.S. Air Force and an associate degree in video technology from the Video Technical Institute.
